Politicians and the media

(Verse 1)

Well, I turn on my TV, flip through the news,

Seems like every other story is just giving me the blues.

Politicians talkin’, but they ain’t sayin’ much,

And the media’s spinnin’ tales with their magic touch.

(Chorus)

Oh, politicians and the media, they’re tearin’ us apart,

With their lies and their scandals, breakin’ every heart.

They’re playin’ games with our country, like it’s some kind of toy,

Oh, Lord, won’t you save us from this noise?

(Verse 2)

They’re makin’ promises they can’t keep,

While the truth’s buried deep, oh, it’s makin’ me weep.

They’re sellin’ us dreams, but it’s all just a scheme,

While the fabric of America starts to unravel at the seam.

(Chorus)

Oh, politicians and the media, they’re tearin’ us apart,

With their lies and their scandals, breakin’ every heart.

They’re playin’ games with our country, like it’s some kind of toy,

Oh, Lord, won’t you save us from this noise?

(Bridge)

They say they’re fightin’ for the people, but who do they really serve?

When every word they speak just seems to twist and curve.

We need some honesty, some integrity,

To bring back the America that used to be.

(Chorus)

Oh, politicians and the media, they’re tearin’ us apart,

With their lies and their scandals, breakin’ every heart.

They’re playin’ games with our country, like it’s some kind of toy,

Oh, Lord, won’t you save us from this noise?

(Outro)

So I’ll hold on to hope, and I’ll pray for a change,

For a nation united, not divided and estranged.

But until that day comes, I’ll sing this song of woe,

About how politicians and the media just gotta go.
