Driving through the heartland

(Verse 1)
Well, we packed up the car at the crack of dawn,
With a cooler full of dreams and the radio on.
From the golden fields of Kansas to the California coast,
It’s the open road and you, that I love the most.

(Chorus)
We’re driving through the heartland, under skies so wide,
With a beautiful lady traveling by my side.
From the Rockies to the bayou, and the Tennessee nights,
Every mile’s a memory, in the dashboard lights.

(Verse 2)
We rolled down the windows, let the wind sing a song,
As we crossed the Mississippi, feeling free and strong.
With her hand in mine, and the highway’s hum,
Every city lights up like a beat of a drum.

(Chorus)
We’re driving through the heartland, under skies so wide,
With a beautiful lady traveling by my side.
From the Rockies to the bayou, and the Tennessee nights,
Every mile’s a memory, in the dashboard lights.

(Bridge)
From the neon lights of Vegas to New York’s busy streets,
We danced in the desert, felt the ocean at our feet.
With every sunset painting the horizon’s hue,
I fall a little deeper, in love with you.

(Verse 3)
We’ll laugh about the places where we lost our way,
And cherish all the moments that we found each day.
With the stars as our guide, and the moon hanging high,
We’ll keep rolling on, just my baby and I.

(Chorus)
We’re driving through the heartland, under skies so wide,
With a beautiful lady traveling by my side.
From the Rockies to the bayou, and the Tennessee nights,
Every mile’s a memory, in the dashboard lights.

(Outro)
So here’s to the journey, and the love that we share,
With you beside me, I’ve got no worries or cares.
From sea to shining sea, we’ll ride this endless tide,
With a beautiful lady, always by my side.
