The honest work hard

Verse 1
In a little town where the river runs dry,
I wake up every morning to the same old sky.
Politicians talking, but they never stay true,
While we’re out in the fields, just doing what we do.

Chorus
Living in a land where the honest work hard,
Dreaming of a day when it won’t be so hard.
Hoping and praying for the light to break through,
God save this country, and the whole world too.

Verse 2
Neighbors gather ’round when the sun goes down,
Sharing stories of the struggles, and the hope we’ve found.
We lend a helping hand, though times are tough,
We keep our faith alive, ’cause love is enough.

Chorus
Living in a land where the honest work hard,
Dreaming of a day when it won’t be so hard.
Hoping and praying for the light to break through,
God save this country, and the whole world too.

Bridge
We plant the seeds, and we watch them grow,
Through the storms and the trials, we’ll never let go.
With a prayer in our hearts and our eyes on the skies,
We’ll keep moving forward, with faith as our guide.

Chorus
Living in a land where the honest work hard,
Dreaming of a day when it won’t be so hard.
Hoping and praying for the light to break through,
God save this country, and the whole world too.

Outro
So here’s to the dreamers, who never lose sight,
We’ll keep on believing, through the darkest of nights.
With our hands in the dirt and our hearts on the line,
God save this country, one day at a time.
