A Farewell in the Sky

As you board the plane, my heart takes flight,
A beautiful lady, a vision of light.
Your laughter, like music, will linger in the air,
But soon I’ll be left with the weight of your chair.

The engines roar softly, a symphony’s song,
Yet each note reminds me that you won’t be long.
Your smile, a sunrise, now fading from view,
A canvas of memories painted in blue.

The clouds will embrace you, wrap you in white,
But know that my thoughts will chase you each night.
Each mile that you wander, each city you roam,
Will echo my longing, a heart far from home.

I’ll count every moment, each tick of the clock,
While you weave through the skies, my heart’s anchor rock.
The world may be vast, but love knows no bounds,
In whispers of distance, our connection resounds.

So fly, my dear lady, let dreams take their course,
With every horizon, you’ll gather new force.
But remember, my darling, no matter how far,
You’re the light in my life, my guiding north star.

And as you ascend through the heavens above,
Know each fleeting moment is wrapped in my love.
For though we are parted by oceans and lands,
You carry my heart in your delicate hands.
