In the heart of South Carolina, where the pines stand tall,
I find my heaven in the simplest things of all.
With my beautiful lady by my side, her smile so bright,
And two little dachshunds chasing fireflies in the night.
The mornings start slow, with dew on the grass,
A gentle breeze blows as the days quietly pass.
We walk through the woods, where the oak trees grow,
With paws tapping softly, our dachshunds in tow.
Their tails wag like flags in the warm Southern air,
As we laugh and we love, without a single care.
My lady’s soft laughter is the sweetest sound,
As we dance in the fields where no walls are found.
Under the big Southern sky, we make our own way,
Through the golden sunsets that end every day.
With love that’s as deep as the Carolina blue,
I’m living my dream with my dogs and with you.
