Traveling

(Verse 1)
Well, I packed up my bag and I hit the open road,
Leavin’ Washington behind, where the evergreen grows.
With the Cascades in my rearview, and the sky painted blue,
I’m headin’ east to Montana, where the mountains kiss the dew.

(Chorus)
Oh, I’m rollin’ through the valleys, crossin’ rivers wide and free,
From Washington to Montana, it’s just the open road and me.
With the wind in my hair and my heart in the breeze,
I’m travelin’ through God’s country, feelin’ wild and feelin’ free.

(Verse 2)
The Columbia River’s windin’, like a ribbon through the land,
And the wheat fields of the Palouse, like a golden ocean grand.
Through Spokane and Coeur d’Alene, where the lakes are crystal clear,
Every mile that I travel, brings Montana near.

(Bridge)
As I climb up Lookout Pass, the world comes into view,
The Rockies standin’ proud, in a sky of endless blue.
With each turn of the wheel, I feel a little lighter,
This journey to Montana makes my spirit brighter.

(Verse 3)
Big Sky Country’s callin’, with its endless, open plains,
Where the bison roam the prairies and freedom still remains.
From the Bitterroot to the Flathead, every sight a masterpiece,
Travelin’ from Washington, my soul finds its peace.

(Outro)
So here’s to the journey, and the places yet to find,
From Washington to Montana, leavin’ all my cares behind.
With the open road before me, and the sky so wide and clear,
I’ll keep travelin’ this country, year after golden year.
