In the heart of Sunny Pond, where lily pads doubled as trampolines, lived Freddy the Frog. He could leap higher than any tadpole! One day, while practicing flips, he met Sammy the Snake, who wasn’t slithering—he was stuck in a knot!
“Need help?” Freddy ribbited.
“Y-yes!” Sammy hissed. With a gentle nudge, Freddy untangled him.
“Friends?” asked Sammy, shyly.
“Best friends!” Freddy grinned.
But trouble came—the pond’s magical Rainbow Stones vanished! Without them, the water turned dull. “Let’s find them!” said Sammy.
Off they went!
Freddy jumped over prickly bushes.
Sammy squeezed through tiny tunnels.
They crossed Grumble River by building a leaf raft (Freddy steered; Sammy tied vines).
At Mossy Mountain’s peak, they found the stones guarded by a sleepy owl. “Please,” Freddy croaked, “our pond needs sparkle!” The owl blinked. “Take them… if you solve my riddle!”
“What hops, slithers, and shares adventures?”
Sammy whispered, “Us!”
“YES!” The owl chuckled.
They raced home, stones glowing in Sammy’s coils. Plop! The pond shimmered brighter than ever.
All the creatures cheered! Freddy and Sammy high-fived (well, tail-finned). From then on, Sunny Pond knew: even the unlikeliest friends make the best team.
The End.
(Moral: Friends who help each other can solve any puzzle!)
