Snowflakes on Broadway

(Verse 1)
Four sets of boots crunch through the white
On Lower Broadway in the pale moonlight
Never thought we’d see this town like this
Nashville blanketed in winter’s kiss
My phone lit up with texts last week
“Pack your warmest, darlin’, check the freak
Weather report – snow’s comin’ down
Let’s meet where we first found our sound”
Twenty years since college days
When we’d sing our hearts out for tips and praise

(Chorus)
Snowy girls week in Music City
Where the neon glows through winter’s mystery
Whiskey warm and memories sweeter
Laughin’ ’bout the boys we used to meet here
From the Bluebird to the Ryman stage
We’re writing new chapters on this frozen page
Yeah, it’s a snowy girls week in Nashville
With hearts as warm as Tennessee

(Verse 2)
Sarah brought that photo book
Of us in cutoffs, lookin’ like we took
A wrong turn on the way to fame
Singing harmony for tips and name
Maggie’s got that same old smile
That got us through each heartache mile
And Jess, she’s still the one who leads
When we break into “Jolene” with reckless speed
We found an empty honky-tonk
Where the jukebox plays our favorite songs

(Chorus)
Snowy girls week in Music City
Where the neon glows through winter’s mystery
Whiskey warm and memories sweeter
Laughin’ ’bout the boys we used to meet here
From the Bluebird to the Ryman stage
We’re writing new chapters on this frozen page
Yeah, it’s a snowy girls week in Nashville
With hearts as warm as Tennessee

(Bridge)
Remember when we thought we’d never part?
How we swore we’d make it right here from the start
Life took turns we couldn’t see
But this friendship’s still the truest melody
Through marriages and moves and changing lanes
We always find our way back home again

(Chorus)
Snowy girls week in Music City
Where the neon glows through winter’s mystery
Whiskey warm and memories sweeter
Laughin’ ’bout the boys we used to meet here
From the Bluebird to the Ryman stage
We’re writing new chapters on this frozen page
Yeah, it’s a snowy girls week in Nashville
With hearts as warm as Tennessee

(Outro)
Four sets of boots headin’ for the door
With snowflakes meltin’ like tears we swore
We’d never shed when we said goodbye
But Nashville’s waitin’ with open sky
And another snowy girls week… next year
Yeah, another snowy girls week… right here
(Softly fades with acoustic guitar and gentle snowfall sounds)
