Freddy the Frog and Blake the Bear’s Honey Day

One sunny morning, Freddy the Frog sat on his favorite lilypad in Lilypad Pond, singing a bubbly tune. “Ribbit-ribbit! Splish-splash!” he croaked, flicking waterflies with his long tongue.

Suddenly, he heard a rumble-tumble in the bushes. Out waddled Blake the Brown Bear, rubbing his big, grumbly tummy. “Oh dear,” Blake sighed. “The berry bushes are empty, and I’m SO hungry!”

Freddy leaped onto a rock. “Don’t worry, Blake! I’ll help you find snacks!” (Frogs are very good helpers, you see.)

So off they went! Freddy hoppity-hopped through ferns, while Blake stompity-stomped behind. They crossed a babbling brook—Freddy jumped from stone to stone, and Blake’s big paws made sploosh-splash waves!

“Look!” Freddy pointed. Up high in a tree was a golden beehive, dripping with honey. “Yum!” cried Blake. But the bees buzzed fiercely. “ZZZZZZ!”

“I’ll distract them!” said Freddy. He puffed his cheeks and sang the Wiggle-Waggle Song:
“Buzz-buzz, little bees, Follow me to the clover trees!”

The bees zoomed after Freddy’s silly dance, and quick as a flash, Blake climbed the tree. Slurrrrp! His paws scooped up sweet, sticky honey.

“Thank you, Freddy!” Blake grinned, sharing a honeycomb. “You’re small but mighty!”

Freddy ribbit-laughed. “And you’re big but kind!”

Now, every Tuesday is Honey Day at Lilypad Pond. Freddy and Blake munch snacks, giggle at dragonflies, and remind everyone: No problem is too sticky when you have a friend!

The End.
